CONFERENCES

The Institute on Science for Global Policy (ISGP) focuses on designing and convening invitation-only conferences intended to significantly improve the communication of credible scientific and technological (S&T) ideas and recommendations to those governmental and societal leaders responsible for shaping major domestic and international policies. Each ISGP conference is comprised of presentations, dialogues, critical debates, and caucuses on those high priority S&T topics identified by governmental and societal leaders as having high priority in formulating and implementing both current and future policies.

Each ISGP conference uses an unusual, if not unique, format to encourage candid discussions, critical debates, and constructive policy caucuses to identify areas of consensus and actionable next steps. S&T options are articulated in policy position papers authored by internationally distinguished subject-matter experts who engage in critical debates with governmental, academic, private sector, and societal leaders responsible for policies decisions. All ISGP conferences are convened in a not-for-attribution (Chatham House rule) environment. The topics addressed at each ISGP conference are determined through consultations with the participating governmental institutions and societal organizations.

The ISGP espouses no opinions or views on any of the issues addressed at its conferences. The ISGP takes no advocacy positions. The papers, views, areas of consensus, and actionable next steps emerging from ISGP conferences are those of the participants.Myspace Layouts
